Forensic Interview Specialist, Department of Homeland Security. Amy Allen has been conducting forensic interviews for 32 years and teaches regularly on national and international protocols. Amy works cases involving child exploitation, human trafficking, and human rights violations. She has traveled to over 30 countries both teaching and supporting DHS investigations. In 2019, Amy and 15 other national experts in human trafficking were invited to brief the President of the United States on the issue of human trafficking in the United States.

Chief Psychologist, U.S. Marshals Service (Ret). Michael Bourke is was the first Chief Psychologist of the United States Marshals Service, where he created and then headed the Behavioral Analysis Unit for more than 13 years. He is an active researcher, clinician, and polygraph examiner. He interviewed and/or evaluated more than 1,200 sex offenders during his 21-year career in federal law enforcement, and he has trained professionals in 30 countries and territories around the globe.

Karen Chymy’s 25 year career in child advocacy and support services is marked by her dedication to helping children and families recover from abuse and violence. Her professional journey includes significant roles at Toba Centre for Children & Youth and the Canadian Centre for Child Protection, where her leadership and advocacy have been instrumental in enhancing support systems for children and families affected by abuse.

Jim Cole is a retired Homeland Security Investigations Supervisory Special Agent with more than two decades dedicated to combating child sexual exploitation. He founded the HSI Victim Identification Program and Laboratory and pioneered multimedia forensic analysis techniques used to identify victims depicted in abuse material. Cole has trained investigators globally and has testified as an expert witness in federal and state courts on image and video analysis and soft biometric comparison.

Peter Collins is an operational forensic psychiatrist who has worked with law enforcement in Canada, and internationally, for close to four decades. From 1990 to 1995 he was a member of the first profiling unit of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (Violent Crime Analysis Section) and was involved in the development of the Violent Crime Linkage Analysis System (ViCLAS). He then began working as the forensic psychiatrist with the Ontario Provincial Police in 1995. He served as a member of the crisis/hostage negotiation team of the Toronto Police Service Emergency Task Force for more than 25 years.

Developmental and Forensic Pediatrics, P.A. Sharon Cooper is a retired Colonel from the U.S. Army Medical Corps and a developmental and forensic pediatrician specializing in child sexual exploitation. She often serves as an expert witness and author on child maltreatment. She holds university faculty positions and is an Executive Producer of the documentary Not Just Pictures.

Assistant United States Attorney (Ret.). Carin Duryee served over 27 years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of Arizona, spending the vast majority of that time specializing in the investigation and prosecution of cyber-facilitated child exploitation cases and serving as a District coordinator for the Department’s Project Safe Childhood (PSC) initiative.

Executive Director, Toba Centre for Children & Youth. Christy Dzikowicz has been a dedicated advocate for children’s safety and well-being for over 25 years. She has held various leadership roles, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Toba Centre for Children & Youth – Manitoba’s only child advocacy centre. Christy is a leader in advancing system changes to better support children affected by abuse, working to ensure they receive the supports and healing they deserve.

Jackie Block Goldstein is a private child welfare consultant, forensic interviewer, and nationally recognized expert in victim dynamics. Additionally, she is the Vice President of Survivor Care at Our Rescue, where she leads the organization’s global survivor care strategy. She brings more than 24 years of experience across federal law enforcement, victim advocacy and forensic interviewing, including leadership roles with the FBI and Homeland Security Investigations. She has trained professionals worldwide and serves as an expert witness in state and federal courts.

Arnold Guerin is a retired Canadian police officer with extensive experience in online CSAM investigations. He was seconded to the RCMP’s National Child Exploitation Crime Centre for 16 years. He has a Masters of Science Degree in Forensic Computing and Cybercrime Investigations from the University College of Dublin.

Detective, Austin Police Department Homicide Division. Darrel Lambert has been a police officer over 18 years and a detective since 2018. He has investigated crimes to include the sexual assault of children and capital murder. He has conducted more than 400 hours of suspect interviews in felony cases. In November of 2025, his book Fundamentals of Interviewing and Interrogation was published by Routledge Publishers. He is the co-founder of Modern Interviewing Solutions with Valentin De Los Santos.

Detective, Austin Police Department. Valentin “Val” De Los Santos currently works as a patrol Sergeant for one of the largest police departments in Texas. He has worked in his department for 17 years, almost 7 years as a detective. Val has 300 hundred hours in the interview room with alleged suspects for crimes ranging from aggravated assaults, aggravated robberies, homicides, and human trafficking up to the continuous sexual abuse of children.

Lori McPherson has spent 30 years in the criminal justice field as a public defender, local prosecutor, and national and international-level expert. She prosecuted the first CyberTipline case in her city more than 20 years ago and later served as the head of the Child Sexual Exploitation program at the National Center for Prosecution of Child Abuse at the National District Attorneys Association, also serving on the National ICAC Task Force Working Group Legal Committee.

Colby Mills, PhD is a clinical and public safety psychologist specializing in first responders and military veterans. Dr. Mills spent a decade as a police psychologist with the Fairfax County Police Department. Prior to that, he spent six years assessing and managing crisis situations as part of a mobile emergency response team. He was part of the team behind the National Wellness Survey, which examined psychological wellness in 9,000 U.S. first responders. He has provided training and consultation to individuals and agencies at local and federal levels. His professional interests include trauma, neuropsychology, and improving awareness of first responder culture.

Founding Partner, Onemi Asia Pacific. Jon Rouse dedicated 39 years to the Queensland Police Service in Australia, specializing in investigating crimes against children. He led groundbreaking operations targeting Internet child sex offenders and conducted multiple national and international investigations against child exploitation networks. His exceptional leadership earned him various awards and recognition, including the ‘Champion for Children Award’ from the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children. He serves as a Director with multiple child protection organizations and holds a professorship at Monash University, Australia.

New Mountain Investigative Services. Mark O’Riordan’s career spans over 30 years of handling difficult communications and investigations at the highest level. As a therapeutic foster care worker, a Secret Service Polygraph examiner, and a corporate investigator, Mark gained insight into the motivations that facilitate obtaining truthful statements. Leveraging nonprofit, federal government, and corporate experience, Mark has created training that even the most seasoned interviewers will benefit from.

Dr. Salter received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and Public Practice from Harvard University and obtained a Masters Degree in Child Study from Tufts. She was a Teaching Fellow at both Universities. She has lectured and consulted on sex offenders and victims throughout the United States and abroad, including keynoting conferences on sexual abuse in Australia, New Zealand, Scotland and England. In all, she has conducted trainings in 50 states and 10 countries. Dr. Salter also evaluates sex offenders for civil commitment proceedings and other purposes. She testifies as an expert witness in sexual abuse civil and criminal cases.

Forensic Solutions (Cork, Ireland). Joe Sullivan is a Forensic Psychologist with over 40 years’ experience working with perpetrators of child sexual abuse. He provides training to professionals informing their understanding of the abusers and assisting them in developing and delivering effective customized interview strategies.
